Savita Bhabhi is an Indian webcomic created by RK Laxman. It is his second comic after the popular comic "Panchatantra". Savita Bhabhi focuses on the life of a Hindu god Shiva's wife, who is known as Savita. The title character has some similar traits to her husband, with long hair and a blue dress that she wears. Although there are six main characters in the comics, most of them are seen only briefly or for brief scenes. Often the storylines of individual episodes focus on particular animal characters rather than humans. The cast includes talking ants, elephant shrews, crab lice, mongooses and mice who speak Sanskrit during dialogue scenes. The series follows the life of Savita (meaning 'auspicious'), a Hindu goddess who is the wife of the "Maha-shiva" (great god) Shiva. As such, she is worshipped by Brahmins and Sikhs and is often depicted in images, paintings and bas-reliefs. This series marks Laxman's second comic after popular webcomic Panchatantra that ran for 10 years, ending in 2009. Savita Bhabhi involves about 300 episodes that run to 18 volumes and has been running since 2011.
